Student Etiquette
Be Safe: Always practice at your own comfort level and let the teacher know if you have any injuries or would like modifications for any pose.
Be on time: Please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking, sign-in, and settle into class. On your first visit to Yoga 101 please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork prior to the beginning of class.
Sign in: Please write clearly at front desk upon arrival for each class.
Turn off electronics: Turn off cell phones and electronic devices before entering the building.
Practice good props management: Please return all props to their appropriate place at the end of class. Be mindful to refold blankets to their original "trained" fold.
Noise control: While in the reception area, please hold your conversations away from the studio door to be considerate of other classes still in session.
Mats: We have some studio mats for use, but if you practice regularly you will want to purchase your own. Please spray and wipe studio mats with cleaner located near the props before returning to the front desk.
Other Recommendations:
- Refrain from wearing scents and chewing gum in class.
- Yoga clothes should be stretchy and invite movement within the body.
- We recommend practicing in bare foot or with yoga grip socks.
- If you must eat close to class time, choose something light. It is not recommended to eat a heavy meal 2-3 hours before practice.
